Born and raised here on the Island of Hawai’i, art and nature have always been of interest to me. I enjoy planting, gardening and collecting an array of flowering ornamentals. My love for plants has taken me into the journey of macrame.
Macrame is a form of knotting that uses a variety of knots to create both decor and functional pieces. My favorite items to make are plant pods and hangers though I do have fun creating other things.
The materials and cords that I use for my macrame are of excellent quality. 100% real beech wood rings, brass and metal rings.100% recycled cotton cord, zero waste soft cotton cord and outdoor recycled braided cord in a variety of colors and sizes.
I started learning macrame at the end of 2022 from youtube tutorials. At first it was challenging, but making art has helped me to clear my thoughts, keep me grounded and gives me peace of mind.
Me ke aloha pumehana,
